Puto Cheese

- 1 kg pancake mix
- ½ cup powdered milk
- 2½ cups water
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup melted butter or vegetable oil
- 1½ tbsp baking powder optional, for extra rise
- Cheese slices optional, for topping
In a large bowl, mix pancake mix, powdered milk, and baking powder (if using).
Add water, eggs, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth with no lumps. Strain once to twice.
Pour batter into greased puto molds, filling each about ¾ full.
Add cheese slices on top if desired.
Steam for 15–20 minutes over medium heat or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool before unmolding. Serve warm or chilled.
