Garlic Pepper Beef
Ingredients
- 2 kg beef sirloin thinly sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
For garlic topping
- 2 cups cooking oil
- 6 heads garlic chopped and fried until golden
For cooking beef
- 4 tbsp cooking oil
- 5 cups water
GravyMushroom Sauce
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups water
- 1 pc beef cube
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ cup sliced mushrooms
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Marinate beef in salt, pepper, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and garlic for at least 30 mins
- Heat oil and fry chopped garlic until golden, set aside
- In a pan, heat 4 tbsp oil and pan-fry marinated beef in batches until browned
- Pour in 5 cups of water and simmer until beef is tender
- In another pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and butter, add flour and stir for 1 min
- Slowly pour in water while whisking until smooth
- Add beef cube, soy sauce, mushrooms, and pepper; simmer until thick
- Pour mushroom gravy over cooked beef and top with crispy garlic
