Ingredients
  

  • 2 kg beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic

For garlic topping

  • 2 cups cooking oil
  • 6 heads garlic chopped and fried until golden

For cooking beef

  • 4 tbsp cooking oil
  • 5 cups water

GravyMushroom Sauce

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pc beef cube
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Marinate beef in salt, pepper, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and garlic for at least 30 mins
  • Heat oil and fry chopped garlic until golden, set aside
  • In a pan, heat 4 tbsp oil and pan-fry marinated beef in batches until browned
  • Pour in 5 cups of water and simmer until beef is tender
  • In another pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and butter, add flour and stir for 1 min
  • Slowly pour in water while whisking until smooth
  • Add beef cube, soy sauce, mushrooms, and pepper; simmer until thick
  • Pour mushroom gravy over cooked beef and top with crispy garlic
