Instant Sisig
Ingredients
- 2 kg ground pork
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp liquid seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 tbsp plain mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp liquid seasoning for finishing
- 2 tbsp calamansi juice
- 1 tbsp butter for sizzling plate
- 2 medium onions chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper chopped
- 1 pc egg
- Mayonnaise and chopped green onion for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, season ground pork with salt, pepper, liquid seasoning, and garlic powder, mix well
- In a large pan, heat oil, pan-fry the ground pork until golden brown and crispy bits start to form
- Turn off heat and mix in mayonnaise, liquid seasoning, and calamansi juice, stir until well combined
- Heat cast iron pan, melt butter, and add the pork sisig mixture
- Top with chopped onions, red bell pepper, and crack an egg in the center
- Let it sizzle until egg is half-cooked
- Finish with drizzled mayonnaise and sprinkle green onions before serving
