Manong’s Hotcake
Ingredients
- ½ kg all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup powdered milk
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 pcs medium eggs
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 ¾ cups water
- Few drops yellow food coloring
- Butter for brushing
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, salt, eggs, vegetable oil, and water
- Mix until smooth
- Add yellow food coloring and stir until well combined
- Brush with butter
- Heat a non-stick pan or flat griddle over medium-low heat
- Scoop batter onto the pan to form small rounds
- Cook until bubbles form and bottom is golden, then flip and cook the other side
- Brush with butter while hot and sprinkle more sugar if desired
